The Arizona Parks and Recreation Association Conference and Expo was last week, bringing out many passionate and motivated parks, recreation, conservation, and open space professionals to explore many topics and innovations in the field. 

Held at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel, attendees and exhibitors enjoyed the beautiful sights and sounds of Phoenix, in close proximity to so many exceptional parks and natural wonders. The Xplor Recreation team was happy to be back for this year’s conference, what we think was their best yet.

The APRA engaged this year’s delegates and exhibitors with their conference app, helping attendees to better navigate through the conference. Guests were able to easily explore and plan their conference experience through the app, while being connected to other attendees and to the organizer’s special announcements. Through their activity stream, attendees were able to see photos from other attendees and what they found exciting. The use of the app was a nice touch that enriched the overall experience of the conference and we expect to see more and more parks and rec conferences adopting digital tools like these in an effort to maximize the guest experience.

Our Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Business Development, Vahid Shababi, held a workshop discussing workflow automation, demonstrating its effects on improving customer experiences while increasing efficiency. Attendees got to take a closer look at how our platform’s workflow engine translates into reduced administration errors and time saved for staff and customers alike. It was an early morning session but we were very excited to see that over thirty people attended, bringing up many great talking points and showing their excitement over new features from Xplor Recreation.

Xplor Recreation account executive Saeid Safarmehdi was on-hand at our booth, fully engaged with attendees who were keen to explore Xplor Recreation’s features. We’re passionate about our software and seeing the level of interest and enthusiasm from attendees helped make this conference very special. It was also great to see and connect with our friends at Green Valley Recreation and the City of Peoria , two valued clients who utilize our software to help run their operations.

Finally, we want to thank everyone who made the APRA Conference 2017 an incredible success. From the wonderful, passionate attendees, to the informative exhibitors and educators, it was a great few days of learning and building community amongst talented parks and recreation professionals.
